Steve is responsible for choosing and blending the apples to achieve the balance of acidity, tannins and sugar content we need to produce a consistent flavour from one year to another. Once this is done, nature does the rest, because we add nothing - not even yeast, relying on the natural yeast in the apples. His day job is running and industrial metal finishing company which has painted everything from the handrails for Crossrail to the original R2D2.
Lucy is one of the core cider makers and does everything with the apples from picking them out of the trees, processing them, pressing them, bottling to drinking the finished product. Lucy is also one of the main faces you will see at the cider stall at the farmers market and various shows around the county. She is currently a student mental health nurse and has worked in mental health for over 7 years. In her spare time she also plays rugby for Bletchley Ladies Rugby Club who won their league last year!
Jason is one of our core cider makers and does the majority of our picking, processing, pressing and packaging. He spends a lot of his spare time taking part in cider activities and is heavily relied on to climb the trees to reach the best apples for our product. He is a roofer by trade and has been for the past 12 years, so he isn't scared of heights!
Elizabeth is also one of our core cider makers. She is responsible for managing our social media sites and also manages our website keeping you all updated on upcoming news and events. Elizabeth helps the team with the picking and processing of Rennies Winslow Cider and is one of the main faces that you will see on the local markets and various shows around the county. Elizabeth works full time as a Deputy Manager of a Children's Nursery.
Abbie is one of our main cider girls! She helps out all year round as a friendly face on the local market stall and always attends extra events across the county including charity events and shows. She is also an important part of our production team. She is a fully qualified hairdresser by trade and in her spare time helps the team to produce and promote our cider. Being a local girl she is loved by plenty and contributes hugely to successful sales on the stall.
Frankie is also one of our main cider girls. Her fun-loving, bubbly personality brings excitement to every cider event we do. Her sales techniques are phenomenal, she's a real asset to the team. Frankie is a huge part of our production team and helps with everything from picking the apples to capping and labelling the finished product. Frankie is a finance administrator and has a background in sales. This shows when we put her techniques to the test each month on our stall!
Ashley is an all round busy body! We like to call him our logistics manager! He often helps us out on the market stalls and at various events too. He is hugely helpful with making sure we have plenty of stock for each event and ferries it back and forth from the cider house to our stalls. Ashely also helps out with the picking and production line of Rennies Winslow Cider and manages quality control of our labels! By trade Ashely is an mot tester and works locally at a car garage.
Jane guards the secret of our mulled cider and summer special Ciderlush. Since 2014 she has blended fruits and spices for our mulled cider and our unique Ciderlush. This has been noticed by the major cider producers who have produced their own versions. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but we believe the original is still the best.
